During these events, different speakers come on to speak about different subjects of global learning. One in particular spoke about leadership. Three students from the FIU startup came to speak about leadership and the idea of falling forward. This idea they brought up is that to solve a problem one must first be well acquainted with the entire problem and secondly, when prototyping a solution, one must do it piece by piece and check if the pieces are working before building the whole. This will avoid the problem of spending much time creating a whole and then concluding that it was not the ideal solution after all. although their talk was more about business, this correlated with the medical field because that is the idea behind innovation. They expressed that there is no need to "reinvent the wheel" when an innovation can just solve a simple problem like making the wheel out of a different material to make it more durable.
